Midsummer Night Live Concert on the Beach with Stefan Keil

‘80 Years of Neil Young  – A Good Reason to Celebrate’ – On 20 June, the time has finally come. ‘Germany's best Neil Young’ interpreter will be performing live on Wohlenberger Beach on Midsummer Night!

 ... ‘No one is as close to the original as Stefan Keil,’ ... ‘The man with the Blacky’ ... ‘The guitar isn't broken – that's how it's supposed to sound’ ... ‘It feels like Woodstock,’ and ... ‘Thank you for the great Neil Young evening!’ are just a few of the comments that fans and the press keep saying.

Stefan Keil interprets the songs in his own unique way, sometimes playing brutally and sawing away at his electric guitar in ‘Like A Hurricane’  in a way that he really has no reason to be ashamed of. Then he becomes melodic again, and ‘Pocahontas unplugged’ is a real treat. Stefan also cuts a fine figure on the double bass in ‘California Sunset’.

Una guides us through the program, spicing up the performance with little anecdotes about how individual songs came about, what has changed here and there in the songs to this day, and what's been happening in Neil Young's life. Una lives up to her middle name, ‘Unapedia’. Depending on the mood, she adapts the repertoire to the audience, making each performance a very personal event.
