Explore the unique landscape of Klützer Winkel on foot or by bike!

Well-developed bike paths, small roads, dirt trails and paths lead to secluded villages, imposing manor houses, brick churches and prehistoric discoveries. Small farm shops and farmers' markets, quaint inns, restaurants and cozy cafes invite you to enjoy and take home specialties from the region. Along the way, you'll encounter many artists and craftsmen showcasing their works in workshops and studios.

By the way, you can charge your e-bike at our free charging station 24/7! The charging station is located right next to the town information centre. To charge, only €0.50 or €1.00 deposit is required. You can lock your e-bike battery in one of the three lockers and conveniently charge it using your charging cable through the sockets in the locker. Each locker can accommodate up to 2 chargers/batteries. Even chargers fixed to the bike can be connected and charged through side openings at the charging station using the provided cable.

These and more discovery tours are also available in the recently released updated and expanded 3rd edition of our cycling and hiking brochure "Im Klützer Winkel unterwegs" (“Exploring the Klützer Winkel“), published in September 2023 (only available in German).

The brochure features 28 themed discovery routes for cyclists and walkers with varying difficulty levels and 7 city stories from the communities of Roggenstorf, Damshagen, Kalkhorst, Klütz, Ostseebad Boltenhagen, Hohenkirchen and Zierow. Many of the included maps and descriptions can be digitally loaded onto a mobile device. The brochure is available for € 4.00 at the city information office/tourist office in Klütz.

Klütz is a town in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Germany). It is administered by the Amt Klützer Winkel. Since July 4, 2022, the town of Klütz and the districts of Wohlenberg and Oberhof have been recognized as state-approved recreational resorts, while the entire town of Klütz with its 11 districts has been designated as a tourist resort since December 16, 2022. Situated in the picturesque Klützer Winkel between the Hanseatic cities of Lübeck and Wismar, the municipal area stretches from Wohlenberg with its long sandy beach to Steinbeck with its impressive cliff coast. Klütz is particularly known for the Baroque castle Bothmer, which has been restored according to old original plans, with its imposing avenue of festoons.
